Our working cocker spaniel Jojo went to Royvon in February 2023 (she was about to turn 7 months old) for a 3 weeks residential training with Charlie. In December, Jojo had had a domestic accident with the very tip of her tail being cut off when closing a door in our home, and so, in order for her to avoid amputation and to heal properly, we had to do many things that basically ruined the training we had started with her and all her good manners. When her tail was finally healed, she could not settle down anymore at home, she was not enjoying her walks, and we didnt know anymore how to reverse the situation and come back to good habits. Charlie was able to train Jojo and give her back good foundations the first week and started to build up on these the next couple of weeks (mainly focus, lead walking, recall, place command). Jojo is now a very different dog: our walks have improved so much, everyone enjoys them a lot more! Also she is calm at home and able to often settle down by herself and fall asleep outside the crate, especially because we are now able to mentally stimulate her appropriately during walks or quietly at home. The videos we had daily are the best things: its really transferable knowledge. We were able to reproduce (to the best of our abilities!) the program Charlie had put in place for Jojo, and we were therefore able to learn how to train our dog. Regarding the facilities, they are great! It is not all inclusive, so you have to pay for walks and enrichment. The only thing we wish was part of the basic offer, especially for young dogs, is the bedtime toilet walk. Otherwise, nothing to report, it was definitely the best choice to make, for both Jojo and us! Thank you again Charlie for your help with Jojo, and for all your advice, we know so much more now!

Really great place. We have a very nervous dog and he settled in so well. They share lots of photos while youre away. Our dog also needs medication and thats never an issue. We tried a lot of other kennels before here and none even remotely compare.

Having used three different dog trainers and two different boarding facilities I can say with confidences Royven is among the best available. Our dog has complex fear and social issues making him reactive, unpredictable and a high bite risk. On two types of medication he is far from an easy case. Romeo showed no fear in developing a bond quickly with Freddie, helping him gain confidence and stretch his social skills to other dogs and humans. Through positive reinforcement and training him at Freddies pace, Romeo has set Freddie up for success and paved the way for him to be a model dog in the future. Romeo is by far the best dog trainer we have worked with and gets Fred. Clearly an expert dog trainer he has made incredible gains with Fred over a short period. With regular WhatsApp videos to keep us updated on training and enrichment sessions, Romeo not only trains the dog but educates the owners too. The board facilities are a great size with both an indoor and outdoor run. The site also benefits from an amazing play area with lots of hurdles, toys and platforms. The site is secure but easily accessible. Bookings can be done on a very handy app which saves energy and time. All the staff from Christina at the front desk to Romeo and Georgia, the dog trainers, have been outstanding and would highly recommend Royven to anyone seeking dog training or boarding.
