        A rare example of a once common sight in English villages. The turf maze dates back to the 16th century. The design of going round in a circle with lots of tight corners was believed to rid one of the devil and or to increase fertility. This example of a turf maze is one of only a handful surviving today, thanks to the diligence of the Hilton pc and local residents.
