Very spacious place with a stage and interconnected library, providing the opportunity to host a plethora of programmes. Well organised with atleast 3 toilets and changing room fir performers at the back. The only problem is parking which is a nightmare. However being on the high street transport is great and lots of restaurants, coffee shops and shops around.

We went for a musical night. Has quite a good hall space but speakers weren't that great . Not much parking available before 6.30

We hire Merton Arts Space twice a year for our choir's Summer and Winter concerts. It's a great space, size wise for musical gigs, feeling spacious but also intimate and never overwhelming or disconnecting for an audience. The space is well equipped from a technical perspective and although we tend to bring a lot of our own gear, there is enough onsite for most needs. The staff are helpful and friendly. Paul, who handles the bookings could not be more approachable and accommodating. To have a local venue of this size that is open to all groups, and isn't for instance a church or another place that may make some feel uncomfortable for some is vital to local arts in our community. To have the setup and equipment to hand on top of that opens up possibilities for all local artists. If I could make one plea to Merton, with regards to further investment within the space it would be the possibility of installing more toilets facilities. Our crowds are always happy and comfortable in the space but at busy times (like for artists who have an interval) the limited facilities can hold things up. There are three separate individual toilets at present, but with a crowd of 200 people it can be a squeeze.
