Barchester - Hilderstone Hall Care Home

My mum was here for 7.5 years, and in that time there have been many changes and a large turnover of staff. For the most part, we were very happy with the care mum received and some exceptionally dedicated staff that we could not praise highly enough. Mum sadly passed away just after Christmas 2022, and apart from the lovely carers and frontline nursing staff, we received no communication directly from management to offer their condolences, even when I returned to clear mums room. Her local GP surgery sent a personal, beautiful card. So, it seems as though, despite being a long-standing resident, mum was merely a means to add to Barchesters revenue. Another one out, another one in. As a family we certainly expected more. Much more. A very sad ending from a company that supposedly are in the care industry!

I attended the Christmas Party at Hilderstone Hall with my Mum. The singer was very good and got all the residents singing along and joining in. It was lovely to see residents having such a good time and enjoying the music. Jean looked after everyone really well with drinks, snacks etc and a great buffet. Such a success, enjoyed by residents and relatives alike.

Lovely location, picturesque views. Staff very friendly and lots of activities going on for residents.

Visited Hilderstone Hall this week. Enjoyed a very warm welcome from all the staff. The home is beautiful in an idyllic setting. Would highly recommend.
