        This shop saved our lives. We were foolishly hiking to Gloucester in the 30 degree heat, and thought we were goners. But this shop had sandwiches, pasties, drinks, ice creams, the lot. I had the best tuna mayo sandwich of my life here.

        Opposite of Iona's experience. Staff were unpleasant and unhelpful. Ignored me standing at the counter for a couple of minutes (no exaggeration) while they had a chat. Then no smile, 'thanks' or barely a glance while she took my money. Been here twice and the staff were rude on both occasions. Perhaps you need to have lived here for longer than me and be 'a local' to be treated with respect.
