This is a much better option on a warm sunny hot day if visiting the beach, yes it's a short walk but the main carpark above the beach is a joke, unless disabled badge holder as there is a huge volume of these so no problem. There is also a clean toilet block on route to the beach. (Waterford road) We found the beach limited to a cafe/restaurant (Cliffhanger) at the top, looking over beach and sea, a ice-cream van down on beach, to get to beach is a steep walk, be warned. If a family and don't mind very busy? I'd say travel a little further west, only 2-3 miles to Mudeford or Avon beach as alot more to see and do.
