My daughter has been bullied at this school since she joined in 2019. The teachers ignore the needs of students, they know very little about dietary requirements and when I visited recently the ceiling panels in the school hall were falling off. This school will make you lose your rag as a parent because they literally only do the bare minimum when asked. You cant even contact the headteacher directly. Shirkers at best. The office staff are some of the nicest ladies youll meet but they save this schools bacon.

High staff turnover. Management is poor and academic standards lower than other schools locally, in my experience

SEN support is terrible. Poor admin, excuses for children not getting the right support, lack of training, not experienced enough and a lot of children left to suffer or forced to leave. Unbelievable that they get away with it!

I was met at the gates of the school, towering greenness that gives a menacing aura, capturing all freedom. At 15:03, the gates clanged open, creaking from age. I made my way towards the hill, which, by the way was artificial, giving a sense of a desperate attempt to make the school look good, only succeeding in helping kids who were running hurt themselves more on fake plasticky grass, more so than a soft real lush green grass. Despite the gates opening at 15:03, we were made to wait until 15:09 (really appreciating the lack of 5s and 0s), making me loose 6 minutes of my time, successfully managing to make me extremely bored, and glance into the sky (as there was nothing remotely interesting that kids could have played with). As soon as the doors opened, a unpleasantly strong smell hit me in the face, and heating so hot it felt as though I was going from the Artic to the desert. A nicely dressed woman, face slightly touched with make up met me, and first thing she asked me was my age. If that wasnt rude enough, she proceeded to tell me I wasnt old enough, and made me wait while she called the office, despite the fact that she stayed there (another 5 minutes wasted), and called names out. Then, that didnt seem enough for her, and she proceeded to tell me to go to the office, despite the fact that I did not know where the office was, and then left me there, flabbergasted. With the help of some nice staff, I managed to get there, somehow, only to my dismay told me that I couldnt pick my brother up, being told the same damned reason, that I was too young. Then the office woman called the headmaster/deputy head, who looked at me and asked me how old are you?. I would have appreciated at the very least if he started with an introduction and a hello, as well as a valid explanation rather than youre too young. After that journey all that I gained from it was anger, rage and a wasted 20 minutes (approximately, as I had to wait for the door to open, wait for the office lady finish whatever the hell she was doing, as at that time it seemed very quiet and being served). With some help and actual helpfulness, this could be an excellent school.
