Downley Memorial Hall

An excellent 'village' Hall in Downley on the edge of Downley common. This hall is used as a nursery, meeting space, exercise hall and can be hired out for all kinds of events (birthday parties, club events etc). It has accessible toilets, a ramp, a small kitchen and can accommodate around 100 people. Please go to the website for more details on this wonderful facility.

I think the people who run this hall are complete money grabbers, to take 50 for not taking a bin bag of rubbish and 3 balloons away but were instead put in the wheeler bins outside. The hall was cleaner than what it was when we arrived after we finished but still took the full deposit instead of part of the deposit, and to take this off a single parent is just disgraceful. They said there was notices about the rubbish but why didnt the women who let us in tell us about this, and to be honest she didnt even know what to do with the key after we finished with the hall. I would stay well away from this place and it seems they just like to take peoples money for nothing.
