I couldnt recommend Mel and her classes more. Mel is uplifting, motivational and fun! I am so grateful for you bringing a love of exercise in to my life.

I have suffered back and shoulder pain most of my teen and adult life. 1 (one) hour with Mel and my lower back is almost pain free, and the compression pains in my upper spine and shoulders has basically vanished. 5 stars is not enough, I will 100% be going back for more sessions

I would like to recommend Melanie Carvell and her wonderful Pilates Reformer Studio in Cressex. I have trained under Mel's instruction in many disciplines over the years - throughout my pregnancies and through injury, and have always trusted her professionalism and knowledge. I was really excited to hear she was specialising in Pilates Reformer and went to try it out. It was fantastic!! Reformer Pilates is done using a machine that adds resistance and maintains correct posture for each exercise. It felt much more intense and dynamic than mat based Pilates and i felt confident in my technique on the machine, and that i was working my muscles in a safe and controlled way. Mel limits her class to small numbers, so each person can work correctly under her careful guidance and instruction. I came away feeling like i had really worked the exact parts of me that i wanted to, without strain on other parts of my body. Training in this way, improving flexibility and core strength and can definitely help prevent injury and i would urge anyone interested in their health and fitness to try out this wonderful facility and Melanie's expertise. It's easy to park, easy to book, very reasonably priced and she has a wide range of lesson times. Pilates Perfection!
