Rooms: Our room was brilliant, a stunning view from the top floor, with all the mod cons we could need from a safe to a fridge. The bed was huge but hard (my husband loved it. I wasn't a fan). I was easily able to gain an additional duvet to sleep on top of which helped. Nearby activities: My sister arrived by train in town and was able to catch the bus to the hotel. My husband and I drove, and we were able to pop down the theatre and the shopping centre with ease. My daughter went to the leisure centre, which was a short walk away. Food & drinks: The breakfast was fantastic, there were lots of choices with continental and full English available. However, they needed more than 1 coffee machine for everyone to use.

My business colleagues and I have been staying here pretty much since it opened; we also use it for meetings, training and interviewing potential new staff members. Apart from the superb value for a very well-appointed hotel, what has always struck us is the friendliness and professional nature of ALL staff - not just one or two. Led by their enigmatic manager, we have never been disappointed by such a remarkably consistent high-level of customer service.
