Beautiful building, study area with majestic windows, and they are creating an additional study area on the ground floor. Popular and comfy childrens books area and play area. There is also a small cafe with ok prices and friendly staff. Generally very clean. Love coming here!

The original library an imposing Edwardian, Grade II Listed building (1909) erected through the munificence of the redoubtable philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie. The flamboyant and decorative exterior, a showcase of craftsmanship, projects a sense of grandeur, authority and confidence; a vision of the future - now a relic of the past. the hubris here is telling.
