As someone who buys rustic pieces of wood like barrels & sleepers for garden dcor & landscaping, I decided to call into Cheshire F&P as they are more local to me than Chelford Farm Supplier & Francombe's. I drove in to have a look. However, when I drove out, I was approached by a lady who accused me of just using their land to do a U turn. I told her this was not the case, but she continued to shout verbal abuse, became aggressive & swore (in front of my family as we sat in our car). Some of their sleepers looked OK, but I would never re-visit a company where the staff / owners are so paranoid, ignorant and abusive. I will continue to use Chelford & Francombes for my rustic wood purchases (which is a longer drive for me). Ironically if they checked their CCTV, they would see I arrived from the Delamere direction & left towards the M6, so the probability of me using their land for a U turn is zero.

Purchased 24 railway sleepers, requesting 2.6m as they had to fit into a specific size and were being used as a supporting structure so needed to be strong, request was confirmed and understood prior to handing over the money. 24 Sleepers were delivered, 4 were no good (2 X 2.2 meters in length, one badly rotten and one cracked). Supplier has failed to provide replacements and refused to provide a refund. If you plan to use this company, only pay using credit card or closely inspect all goods prior to handing over ANY money to them. Charming when they are selling you something, nasty if you have an issue with service or goods. Avoid at all costs.

After being let down by multiple other companies, I reached out to Cheshire fencing to buy some railway sleepers. They gave me a great price and a really easy time ordering and recieving the delivery. The driver was friendly and very helpful. The sleepers all arrived and look in great condition. I will recommend these guys to anyone and everyone in the future.
