This is our third stay here and have already booked again for next year. Michelle and Paul are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble. We had booked a table at the barn owl and were no taxis to take us for over an hour so Paul very kindly asked his Son to take us so we wouldn't miss our reservation. I also lost my earring and Michelle very kindly posted it back to me. We love staying here, its a fabulous place and you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely stunning. It is some years since I stayed but now these reviews are easy to do and oft read, I wanted to say just how great it was. Working in Sale commuting up each week in a tiny red Micra I wanted somewhere to relax and regenerate... and the old post office was perfect. It is a short pleasant drive from the city and became my favorite place to stay. The hosts are wonderful and welcoming, some evenings I would get back to the greeting "We've just opened a bottle of wine, would you like to join us!" The rooms are lovely and with all the trimmings. Even had my own lounge and fireplace. The main guest bedroom has a bath of Hollywood proportions. The award winning country pub with fine food 'The Swan with two nicks" is a short pleasant stroll down the country lane. The peace and contrast to Manchester was a joy. Idyllic in truth. If work took me back that way or if visiting the gardens or otherwise having a vacation in the area I would instantly aim to stay again. The only thing about my stay that seemed a bit odd was the charge... it seemed way underpriced.
