National Trust - Stembridge Tower Mill

Such a shame that the windmill is still closed, although renovations to house are on going so fingers crossed it will be open soon.

Superb mill with thatched roof. Leaped a fivee barred gate to gain entry as it is still closed. By the time restoration work of the whole site is completed, no doubt it will be time to start again. The house adjoining the mill looks like it has undergone some repair, but alas, another winter without heat is not good. National trust need to pull their finger out on this unique property.

Although I knew that it was closed, I thought we'd take a look whilst in the area. There is no parking (single track road) but did manage to pull up in front of a gate further up for a quick pic (we did not enter). It's a shame that after over four years it is still closed with no date for re-opening. As per their website: Stembridge Tower Mill is closed. The mill is closed for the foreseeable future for conservation reasons. We're very sorry for any inconvenience.
