EDIT: This review was initially a reflection of my frustration at the ordering process as noted below. Since posting the review I was contacted personally by the company and a sincere apology was given which changed my mind about some of what was originally written below. The review has now been changed to reflect this. === Beyond the packages being damaged upon delivery (and being sent a replacement) no issues with the product itself. However, I had a nightmare ordering the product. The order form on the site didn't work, and when I emailed I was told to ring in order to put an order through. Having rung the number I was on hold for around 20 minutes, seemingly cycling through two different hold queues. One recording had an American accent while the other was English. I was informed that I was moving up the queue, only to be told minutes later that I was further back in the queue. I lost patience with waiting on hold twice and eventually put the phone down. The third time I got through. I eventually manged to order the floor, which, when it arrived, was beautiful. Unfortunately this was shortly followed by a mobile phone bill for the time spent on hold to an 08456 number which is somewhere north of 50p a minute. The quality of the product is excellent, however the time spent on hold and cost thereof as not so good.

Am happy with first, the quality of the cork tiles, adhesive and varnish this company sourced me. The cork tiles I bought (whitewash) come with a hard wearing smooth flat top coating ..and are exactly the right warm muted colour I want for my mid floor flat. (I first fit an underlay of oil tempered hardboard, cut and stuck with pva to fit over the original concrete floor. On top of that went the tiles with the supplied contact adhesive....) It did take a long time, but that's flooring! Other main reason for full marks: Lillian's service by phone has always been both friendly and efficient. The goods have arrived on the stated date and are well packaged. I happily recommend you The Cork Flooring Company.
