From my late teens I suffered with excess facial hair which affected me negatively, I was very self conscious and felt depressed about how I looked. After spending 10+ years waxing/plucking/using hair removal cream (which just made it worse and was a very time consuming daily battle to remove the facial hair), I decided to invest in electrolysis. Since having electrolysis it has massively improved my lifestyle and how I feel. It genuinely has permanently removed the hairs. It is an investment as it can't be done in a day, but it is worth the time and commitment. I have been seeing Catherine for electrolysis for a couple of years now, it started with me going once every week, then every two weeks, and so on, until I got to the stage where I only needed to go every couple of month to keep on top of it. I highly recommend Catherine for any skincare/facial and body hair issues, she is very thorough, knowledgeable, professional and makes you feel comfortable.

Catherine was the first person, other than my family, who I told my biggest secret to. My biggest secret being that I have excess facial hair. Thanks to Catherine and her suggestion of causation being PCOS, I was able to pursue this with my GP, resulting in a recent diagnosis. Prior to meeting Catherine, Id spent years picking, plucking, waxing, shaving and threading my face in an attempt to make myself feel clean and confident around others. I didnt go a day without sitting down with a 20x magnification mirror, a pair of tweezers and my obsessive ritual of picking, even to do the most simplest of things such as grabbing a pint of milk from the corner shop. I was self conscious around others, often using my hand to cover my face. I felt embarrassed, low in confidence and sometimes became that infatuated with a single hair that I would draw blood and create scars all in pursuit of a smooth chin and upper lip. Electrolysis and more importantly, Catherine, have changed my life. I no longer pick my face because Catherine is that thorough she gets them for me. Electrolysis has permanently removed the majority of hairs and I attend every few weeks just to keep on top of the now very fine and unnoticeable hairs. I can go about my day-to-day activities with my chin held high, an acceptance that I have the hair because of a condition and the comfort knowing that at my next appointment Catherine will rid me of even more. My only regret is not having found Catherine sooner.
