We were recommended Daniel from Smoothe Consulting Ltd from a friend who uses their services a lot. Daniel met and exceeding expectations every step of the way. Myself, husband and 1 year old son live in a 60s terrace house that had the original electrics. We knew when we moved in they would need sorting out. Daniel came around and did a thorough evaluation and quote of what would need doing in the house. His pricing was transparent and fair. He went out of his way to help me understand what needed fixing in the property and what he would need to do to fix it. He gave us a list of jobs that were essential and a list of jobs that could wait for a future date if we so wished. He also pointed out the things that would not be cost effective or not worth doing in light of our hope to get an extension in a few years time, it was so nice of him to be so honest with us. Daniel was supposed to come to us to do the work before Christmas but we had to cancel last minute due to my husband contracting covid. Daniel expressed genuine concern for our well-being over the fact we would have clearly messed up his working week. Daniel was happy to rearrange to see us in the New Year and went out of his way to fit us before our second baby was due. In fact he rearranged his schedule to make an extra effort to fit us in and really wanted to get the work done so we felt safe to have both our children there. Daniel was warm and friendly and happy to respond to our questions between visits. He clearly enjoys what he does and takes a great deal of pride in his work. Daniel also provided a covid safe service and wore the highest standard PPE the entire time he was in the house with us. He also expressed gratitude when I wore a mask. We were so pleased with the finished job and will be getting Daniel back in the future to do the electrics in our extension and any other electrical work we may need in the house. I felt I had to write and say what a wonderful job Daniel did for us recently. I wanted to have a Nest video doorbell installed (As we already have the internal camera and the thermostat) and contacted Daniel who promptly came out and looked at what we needed. From that time on he had nothing but trouble with the installation, he visited our house on three occasions to try and get the thing to work properly. This involved countless phone calls to Nest, the sending of numerous wiring diagrams and extra visits to purchase other equipment to make the doorbell work. All to no avail, I have to stress this was not any fault of Daniels, it was the fault of Nest. Finally he came with a Ring video doorbell, fitted it in a short amount of time and it works beautifully. Sorry this is such a long review but I had to stress how professional and helpful Daniel was - but please keep away from Nest doorbells the rest of my Nest products works very well!!!
