They couldnt send my parcel because somebody thought it would be a good idea to put the scales directly inline with the covid screens, so unless you are only trying to send a very small parcel its not possible for them to weigh it.

Appalling customer service on the Saturday before Xmas. As someone who has worked in retail for over 30 years, I understand the stress on staff in the run up to Christmas. However, when management of the store in Heswall Hills have left two totally incompetent staff to serve on the last Saturday before Xmas beggars belief. I waited a long time whilst the tall young lad with dark hair served the customer ahead of me. He disappeared into the back for several minutes, before returning. He then took this womans money and didnt give her the stamps she had paid for. She had to ask. He had kept one hand in his pocket pretty much the whole time. Slovenly. He then just called next. No apology for the wait. No smile or eye contact as a greeting. Hand still in pocket he took my gas card and stared at it. He then put it in the machine and said it wasnt valid. I gave him my old gas card. He did the same, and again said it wasnt working. I stood quietly whilst he made a show of looking confused. Then he said Erm.... could you come back? At this point I list my temper and declined to come back. I also told him he should know what hes doing if he is on the post office counter. I would seriously recommend only using experienced staff on a busy post office counter so close to Christmas!!! I would also recommend sewing the pockets up on staff trousers, or advising them not to put glue in their hands before inserting them into said pockets?!!! Merry Christmas. Humbug!
