The Grange Nursing Home

This place has improved hugely in the last year. My dad has been here for 3 years now and he love's the staff and the staff are great with him and us by helping us with mum and dad's illnesses. The staff and managers are always there to help residents and their families

My dad had a short stay at The Grange for a few months only following a fall at home. He was transferred to The Grange without our knowledge. My dad is unable to make decisions in regard to his care so I should have been involved in the decision-making process. My dad had been at the care home for over a week before anyone from the home informed me that he had been discharged there into a temporary bed. During his stay, I had reported many concerns, including the development of a pressure sore and significant weight loss. The manager did not appear to share my concerns and was flippant and unsympathetic in his response. He was not at all professional. My dad ended up being admitted to the hospital which I attribute to the neglect he had received during his stay at the care home. The safeguarding team at the hospital had to raise this with the local authority. Very disappointed in this care home and the manager
