Calthwaite Hall

Family of 4 stayed in Aspen Lodge recently. On going in everything looked fine and it was really cosy. When coming to cook our evening meal, pretty much all the cutlery and utensils were dirty resulting having to wash them all. These need checking really before a guest goes in. In the double room there were cobwebs in the light shades, a dead spider left in the voile, toothpaste on the bathroom blind, hairs in the shower and someones purple shampoo left on the shower nob! Its not really acceptable considering the price was over 600 for 3 nights! The grounds and the area were really nice and the hot tub was a lovely area to relax. I was told the hot tub would be checked and solution added daily to keep clean but no one came. I think the check out time it too early of 9am, I asked to pay for a later check out but this option wasnt available. This is more of a static than a lodge. I wouldnt go back again.

Family with 2 kids, stayed at the carriage house and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the kids loved it. It is great value for money, it is all ideal. The carriage house was clean, tidy and very comfortable and set in a gorgeous, beautiful location, and the hot tub was superb and a great bonus. The property is really well thought out, we felt it is like a home from home, it had everything, dishwasher, washer/dryer, we could not fault it at all. Parking was also no issue. There is a pub, The Globe Inn, 2 minutes walk away and it is set in an Idyllic setting, with historical and great places not too far away to visit. Cannot recommend highly enough. Tony and the staff were all lovely and welcoming. Will definitely be back if they'll have us.

We stayed in the most amazing lodge ever , super clean , tidy and welcoming . It had a lovely hot tub with led lights . The lodge also came with sun loungers, table and chairs and a nice grass area for children. The check in was very easy because you just have to check in at the pub opposite the lodge . It was a lovely site to go on because there where only 9 lodges so it meant it was very quite . They also had stables at the end of it which my daughter loved. The owner was very nice and welcoming (Tony,Brigette and summer). Would definitely come back again .

This weekend we visited Calthwaite Hall and Lodges to celebrate the wedding of our friends Matty and Ginny. ( mother of the best man) The staff and owner Tony were very attentive, and we couldnt fault a thing. The lodges were inviting and comfortable with everything you need for your stay. The hot tub was also very relaxing. The day went very smoothly without any hitches, and the food was tremendous provided by the Globe pub which is also owned by Tony. We will definitely return
