        9:15, on Wednesday 7th July, and Post Office not operating. According to other staff, the person who runs it "has a long way to come and regularly fails to arrive on time". A pretty poor explanation that wouldn't work with most managers

        A bit "old school" perhaps but efficiently gets the job done, surely that is what a local post office should be like. The staff know lots of the locals which is a pleasant change to the anonymous nature of bigger places
