247 Plumbers

Extortionate fee of 359 to replace a garden tap which cost 8.49. I had already paid the site visit fee of 168 so I was stuck with them or I would have lost my callout fee. The only reason I gave 2 stars not 1 is that the plumber who came to do the job was polite and knowledgeable. But it was daylight robbery and I'll never use them again.

What a strange experience.. charged me 140+vat to come out and tell me what I knew and chuck a bit of dye in the drain. Payment was needed prior to works... after that initial 1st payment they asked me for over 750 +vat to do a CCTV drainage and jet pressure.. but again wanted this payment before starting the work. Also made it out that they may have to excavate into the ground... all for a blocked drain. The communication with the receptionist and plumber was strange.. Stay away.

Dont use this company! My mum used them to have a toilet removed. They changed 199 to turn up and then charged an extra 100 for the removal. Extortionate as she had already had been told by another company that this needed doing so no investigation required. She felt pressured to pay by someone on the phone. At one point before the engineer event turned up! It was a strange scenario of the engineer going out the van whilst she spoke to someone on the phone to pay. They then would phone the engineer to say whether they could go back in. The price did not even include taking the toilet away. She was told they are the Uber of plumbing!! So if that tells you anything dont use them. (And the fact they have replied to say it isnt them is very telling - there are other negative reviews)
