Avoid at all costs. Yes I am a customer of your shop so please don't say I am not like you have on the other reviews. Your shop has the worst customer service of any shop I have been in. You over charge and when challenged you are rude and aggressive.

I very rarely take the time to write a review after being provided a 'service'. However, the experience that I had with Dave at Computer Care was as bad as can possibly be. My laptop was crashing (only a year old and under 450) and I use it for work so I rushed into Computer Care after a quick call with Dave. My mistake was not reading the reviews, but in the panic to get my laptop working again for work I acted quickly and hoped for a quick resolution from a local business that I put my trust and over 200 of my money into. Dave diagnosed the problem after around 1 minute or less I would guess, he didn't even open it up. His apparent x-ray vision could see what was wrong I suppose. He decided that it needed a new SSD (solid state drive) and the cost was around 160, cash only of course. I was so keen to fix my laptop and get back to work that I withdrew the cash and paid him - he said the laptop would be back working in under 1 week. Today, 26th November 2022 - it is sat in my office and does not even switch on. It is in a worse state than when I brought it in! When you consider that a few days after Dave took my laptop, we spoke on the phone and he requested another 49 for something I still don't understand to this day, but foolishly I paid it. (He gave me another option that would have cost me a further 179 which I declined). Remember, this laptop is worth around 450. I went to see Dave a few times for an update when it because increasingly clear that I had been had. He gave it back to me 'fixed' and when I got home it crashed within minutes - same problem after 208 or so spent. I took it straight back to him and he was 'shocked' that it had happened. I wouldn't give him an Oscar shall we say. I am an extremely calm and polite person, so I questioned him by saying "it does seem rather extraordinary that it was working for you then crashed when I took it home within seconds". He amazingly kept a straight face and agreed that it was 'extraordinary'. I gave it back to him to fix again and it was never resolved. I asked for my 208 back and he refused at first, then said he will pay me when his suppliers pay him back. We had several email exchanges where he kept putting it off and I sit here today 208 down with a laptop that is in a worse condition. I effectively paid Dave 208 for him to leave me with a laptop that does not switch on. I have to admit I gave up on the money a few months back, I'm too busy to put my energy and effort into this but I just wanted to try and warn people. If I help someone avoid going into this store I will be happy. Thanks for nothing Dave.
