The Crafty Duck is a craft beer oasis in a virtual desert that is Hertford. The new offerings of food and music sessions make the place a must visit for anybody who wants decent beer, no bouncers on the door and wants to hear themselves speak in an environment of like minded people.

Lovely spot. Highly recommended. I enjoyed a couple of really interesting non-alcoholic beers I'd not seen elsewhere. The owner even brought treats over for my dog. Really relaxed atmosphere. I felt most welcome, and very secure, which is particularly appreciated as a female drinking alone. Thank you.

Hidden gem in Hertford. This pub has the best range of independent beers and such friendly staff too.
