It is not the first time that a similar thing happens. Two months ago or so, I had an appointment at the centre with the same doctor (it was the first time I was seeing him so I had no idea what he looked lik). I was waiting for more than half an hour. He finally called me after I went to complain to the receptionist, who called him saying that I was there waiting for him (he was in his office). He ordered me my new medication without telling me to go first to the pharmacy of the centre. In other words, went to the pharmacy outside Caldecot Centre and, when it was my turn, I found out that he didn't send them my prescription. I came back to the Centre to find out that I had to pass first to the pharmacy of the centre since the medication was new and then to the pharmacy outside to pick them up.
I am very disappointed and I am considering changing the centre.
UPDATE:
I called again at 11:39 a.m. and a different receptionist picked up the phone. I explained to him the situation (yes, I was upset and a bit rude, but try to be in my shoes!). He said that he would email the doctor. I wonder why the other receptionist did not do it when I requested if she could contact the doctor. However, I hung up and after a few minutes I received a call. It was the doctor's assistant. She apologised but she tried to twist the things saying that she tried to call me but my phone was off. Firstly, my phone was not off at all (not even the sound); secondly, if it were off, the call would have registered and the phone would 'have told' me that someone called me at 10:00. This is a very disappointing and unprofessional behaviour.
Also, I asked her for my medication as I have one month left and I won't see the doctor until March 2022. She said that she would send the prescription to the pharmacy and I would get my medication in 2 weeks. I hope I will. To be honest, I would not be surprised if she did not send the prescription and I would not get my medication in time. I am really considering changing the clinic.
