Herne Hill Group Practice

So I know in the past I might have had issues with this GP practice, but, in hindsight and retrospective thinking, they are the gateway to saving my life. I need to be more grateful to them and everyone associated with them, as in the NHS, because these people weren't flipping hard and get no gratitude apart from claps giving them funding, for God's sake, in all health and care.

This place is the definition of the irritating nonsense to come out of covid: you cant book an appointment in advance, you have to call up on the day when they open and spend 25 minutes in a phone queue and then get given (no choice) a time that day. If you work from home in a desk job its fine, anything else and its totally useless. Had some tests done - no message to tell me the results were through. All in all, perfectly fine GPs fronted by pathetic admin systems and processes and a baffling number of staff at the front desk.

Recently registered here for elderly relative (86 y/o) and the service is much better compared to the previous local GP. All of the reception staff are polite and helpful. The practice even prioritise those over 80 - shows that they take caring for the elderly seriously.

I have had the best experience with this practice, in sharp contrast to other surgeries Ive been to. I got an appointment so easily and the staff I saw were so friendly, professional and put me at ease instantly. I am delighted this is my local doctors !
