Really friendly staff who remembered me and who got the job done well. The smaller practice gives it a more personal feel. Would recommend

STAY AWAY!!!! I was physically injured. I've read the negative reviews about Denmark Hill Dental Surgery but as an NHS patent had no choice to go there after I broke a tooth and contacted 7 other surgeries, 2 of which don't take NHS patients currently and the rest didn't pick up the phone. The dentist and 2 nurses seem really nice when talking to people, BUT highly unprofessional, from the 4 appointments 20 minutes each the dentist was late once, then my appointment didn't show up one day but she took me in anyway as she remembered scheduling the appointment. The dentist kept asking personal question. One dentist nurse (NOT Hamdi) seems completely unfazed. On my 4th and last visit I got injured via the injection needle. The dentist pulled the needle out too early and it BURNED my face. The injection was for the left lower back tooth, but my left lip & part of the nose wing got numbed as well after the burning sensation. The dentist AND the nurse were completely unfazed as if this was on purpose, because I complained in the morning after the dentist cancelled the appointment to reschedule for the afternoon 0n 10.11.2011 The nurse also had a full body plastic cover on which she didn't have the previous 2 visits. I even asked her why she's wearing this body cover and if there will be a bigger job today. She denied, but in hindsight I truly believe she KNEW what was coming after I complained to her in the morning about all the weird missed or late appointments etc. I will be raising a formal complaint to the NHS and even consider court. READ all the other reviews also on the NHS website itself, I believe them. STAY AWAY from this practice and keep looking for a dentist if you can't reach a dentist. I've NEVER had such a bad dentist visit or visit at a doctor anywhere! She physically injured me after previously giving me 2 injection and then the 3rd injection she pulled out the needle that burned me. And the dentist and the nurse were completely cool as if nothing happened. This tells me, they premeditated this and also because the nurse this time wore a full body cover compared to the other 2 visits with a bigger job she didn't. Stay away, they are dangerous! And I have evidence in case Google censors my review here! ADDITION: After I left this review I filed a formal complaint with the NHS and Dental Central Council. Then I research on the web and found that she's been under investigation for unsafe practices and mistreating staff!!! Google doesn't allow links, so google the dentist's name. As of mid Nov 2022 it now has been deleted.
