Our second time at this delightful place - in essence a comfortable en suite hotel room in lovely gardens with convenient parking on the main house's driveway. The handsome seafront at Herne Bay is 15 minutes' walk as is the train station, which we used to visit friends in Broadstairs and to enjoy folk week events there. The lodge feels very private but friendly hosts Gary and Nigel will respond quickly and thoughtfully to your needs. Breakfasts (proper kippers, yum!) and other meals are outstanding. The accommodation is well equipped - being compact, it is cosy and has adequate storage but obviously don't bring tons of luggage!

We therefore paid the cancellation fees, which is completely normal. We rebooked behind a week for August 2020. Unfortunately in August the government did not allow us to travel there. We had to leave Martinique where we were in the family and therefore ask for the cancellation due to covid of our week. The rental companies only gave us a one-year credit note, which we lost because we couldn't afford to leave for two years in a row. The rental companies had even re-rented our rental even before we canceled it. So they didn't lose any money. Really not honest. So we gave these people 850 euros without ever being able to go. They never wanted to hear anything. Not even make a credit note valid for 2 or 3 years the time we can save to come back. (Original) Si je pouvais je ne mettrais pas d toile. Nous devions passer une semaine dans cette tablissement mais malheureusement nous avons du dplacer notre sjour. Nous avons donc pay les frais d annulation ce qui est tout fait normal. Nous avons relou derrire une semaine pour aot 2020. Malheureusement, en aot, le gouvernement ne nous autorisait pas voyager sur place. Nous avons du partir de Martinique o nous tions dans la famille et donc demander l annulation pour cause covid de notre semaine. Les loueurs nous ont seulement fait un avoir d un an que nous avons perdu car nous n avons pas les moyens de partir deux annes de suites. Les loueurs avaient mme relou notre location avant mme que nous l annulions. Ils n'ont donc pas perdu d argent. Vraiment pas honntes. Nous avons donc donn ces gens 850 euros sans jamais ne pouvoir y aller. Ils n ont jamais rien voulu entendre. Meme pas faire un avoir valable sur 2 ou 3 ans le temps que nous puissions conomiser pour revenir.
