    **Edit to respond to owner The issue here was not about the key, the issue was with the customer service we had received. Had the (very common) issue of being locked out been resolved in a timely manner, there would have been no need for us to have travelled back home. You state that we were not at the property and that was correct. We had popped out to get food for the tired and upset children that we were travelling with. While you did offer us alternative accommodation, you also stated that we would have to pay for this. Not only is this against Airbnb policy, but we were left without anywhere to stay for the night, and the next day you tried to claim you offered us the accommodation for free. There is nothing about this review that is incorrect** Stayed at High Tide for not even a day before being locked out of the property. Really bad and unprofessional customer service. The agents told us they had called out a locksmith, so we sat outside waiting for an hour. We then get a phone call to say the locksmith has not yet been called out because we need the permission of the owner. Fast forward 3 hours, its 11pm and were still sat outside of the property. There are no locksmiths available because it is too late (after spending ages trying to get the owners permission). Deborah from Whitstable Seaside told us to contact more locksmiths ourselves, despite knowing that they would need approval from the owner anyway, and that it was not our responsibility to do this. She basically couldnt be bothered to do it herself. Not only was there this constant back and forth, I was speaking to multiple members of staff, none of whom seemed willing to actually resolve the issue. They also came across extremely unprofessional in their correspondence - forgetting things I had told them on multiple occasions, very short, rude messages, and having to constantly chase them for a response. We have ended up having to drive home for 2 hours as there was no alternative solution provided, and nowhere else offered to accommodate us. All of our personal belongings are still locked in the property. We have another 2 hours drive back to Whitstable tomorrow morning to, fingers crossed, get into the property and get our stuff back. Awful, lazy customer service. A very disappointing trip to Whitstable cut short.

    I booked to stay at Flamingo house with Whitstable Seaside Limited for my wedding in Whitstable in February of this year. Whilst the house was gorgeous and absolutely perfect unfortunately recent dealings with Whitstable Seaside have been less so. After my friend and hair stylist left a set of brushes (worth upwards of 100) at the property, I contacted the person who's number I had been given as a contact the day after check out about them. She said she had found them and will drop them at the office for me and will get someone to send them out. After not hearing anything for a week or so I called the main office who said that unfortunately there had been no note left on the item and so they were thrown away but not to worry she can retrieve the brushes as they were still there and they can be picked up at my convenience. After a few days my friend finally got hold of them only to discover the item had actually been thrown away and that there was nothing she could do about it! Whilst I understand that we left them at the property, because of their value I asked for them to removed so needless to say I am furious about this as I was assured they were safe... So I call Whitstable Seaside again to ask what we can do about it... to say that this was the most infuriating call of my life is putting it mildly, not only did the woman at the other end of the phone admit that even though the woman who removed them from the property works for her and that they had been in her care at the time they were thrown away there was simply nothing that they can do about it and that perhaps myself or my friend should claim on my insurance for the lost item at a cost to me?!!! I didn't even get an apology. Its simply not good enough. The fact that this company thinks that reacting like this is ok shows where their moral compass lies and would I would definitely never recommend anyone to book through them again, which to be honest is a massive shame as the property was lovely but this really has spoiled my view on the weekends stay.
