Co-op Food - Whitstable

Stayed in town for a few days. This shop here was just a few steps away. Just needed some basic stuff like water, milk, soda, wine, paper towels, some fruit. I found everything I needed. But the store felt empty. Many many shelves were empty or close to. Lots of stuff was sold out or just not available. Was a bit of a mess on the shelves too. All looked a bit unorganised. Ok, nothing missing I needed. Prices are ok too. But it's just not up to standard I'd say.

Today morning i went up to the co op to buy a meal deal in have a co op membership card so i tried to scan it in the counter and try to scan it but it was not working sometimes it like that but the women in the counter she grabbed my phone without saying a word and scanned it and when the payement screen popped up on the machine and it was not working as well she started swearing in low voice made me really uncomfortable and she just tapped the screen of her billing thing and so and so drama. It really made my day disappointing as im from a different country felt like she is a racist it is hard when im a customer and treated like this

Visited mid afternoon on a Sunday in late July. Nice shop overall. Well air conditioned. Good range of products, pretty well organised. Not a dazzling shop but it should get the job done for your everyday needs. I would happily return here.

Customer service and care is a marked improvement in this store when compared to the Cromwell Road branch. Friendly greeting at the till, more options available at this branch.
