We have been worked with Philip for over a year to prepare plans for our property, including a site visit before we'd even purchased the property, and a further year whilst we undertook the work, which massively impacted by COVID delays. Throughout it all Philip innovative, responsive and prompt. What strikes me most is that coming into this process I had a well formed (boring) idea of what I wanted to achieve, however Philip's holistic approach to understanding the art of the possible and how my family "live" in our home has challenged preconceived ideas leading to a vastly more imaginative and stylish design than I'd ever thought possible. Philip drew up all plans, managed the planning approval, finalised glazing and green roof solutions, and ultimately taken this through the structural engineer for sign off. Philip also finalising the contract price with builders; Philip tendered 5 reputable building firms' providing a comprehensive listing of our requirements and specific suppliers to be used (e.g. glazing products), short listed 2 firms and then by meeting them in person on site and speaking to them regularly has saved us a lot of money against the original quotes without us having to "scope down" our expectations. I see every penny I've spent with him as ultimately being a great value investment comparative to these savings. Now were through the build and living in our beautiful new space Im so pleased we had Philip guiding us through a stressful building year during lock down.He was always available, always reassuring and worked so well with our builders and us. Finally, living in the space that Philip helped design, has been amazing these last few months. His biophilic design has given us so much more out of our house and garden that wed ever expected.

Full planning application, design and drawings for single storey extension in AONB area: Philips attention to detail and commitment to our extension was unwavering. He offered a full design and specification service for our extension, got us the planning permission we required plus drew up the necessary building regulations. The design details that he thought of had little affect on budget, but made all the difference with the end product. Highly recommend Philip as a thoughtful, passionate architect who will strive to give you what you want and more.

Double Story Side Extension - Full planning application and Building Regs We have recently used Philip Baston to undertake our architectural drawings for our double storey side extension. We have been really pleased with his work and patience in our project. With any major structural alterations its sometimes hard to visualise the end result. However Phil was brilliant at suggesting alternative solutions and to help us visualise our ideas and maximise our space. We would have no hesitation in recommending Phil.
