The pub itself looks good. Unfortunately we had a bad experience. As a group of 4 we ordered food and drinks at the bar and waited for our food. We received 4 drinks and 3 meals. The Hunters Chicken was over cooked and the Fisherman's pie looked like it had been 'nuked' in the microwave and the sauce totally curdled and literally burning hot. When we asked where the 4th meal was, initially we were told that it had been given to someone else by mistake and they would get. After another 10 minutes we asked again. This time they decided that they had made a mistake at the till and they hadn't ordered it - so if we wanted it we would have to queue up again, pay for it and wait. As the 3 'lucky' enough to have been given their meal had finished eating by this time it was pointless. There was no real apology, no attempt to right the wrong, just an air of indifference. I pointed out that we would be making a review of the place as the notice on the wall suggested. The manager simply walked off and said 'Do what you like'. I doubt he will be making the finals of any Customer Service awards any time soon. My advice would be to eat elsewhere - or at the very least check and double check that the staff have not made any mistakes with your order and if the meal is not up to scratch don't just accept it like we did - send it back.
