Would highly recommend this Nursing Home, managed to an extremely high standard. All the nurses and carers have been absolutely amazing. Night or day they are extremely polite and friendly and if we couldnt be there they wouldnt ever hesitate as to keeping in touch with us over the phone with any updates, no matter how busy they were. My grandfather had complex care needs so therefor could not communicate very well. They have at all times treated him with complete respect and dignity and it was such a relief to us to see him so comfortable and at ease with some really kind friendly faces in the last few weeks of his life. Thank you so much to all at Hampton Grange!

Staff 'on the ground' lovely and deeply caring. My dad died during the first lockdown and Hampton Grange would not release information about his care in the lead up to his death. The staff on duty, including bank staff, did what they could to support my dad and my family during that time, and we are eternally grateful for their efforts under difficult circumstances. I think the poor rating should be targeted at Rotherwood and senior management. Not sure if this is the individual care home's fault, but are uncertain if he was given the same opportunities as someone who wasn't living with dementia (my dad was 'living well' with dementia until lockdown was announced) after he suffered an apparent stoke. Shortly after he died, we asked to take his remaining possessions and were told that they had been destroyed due to COVID - what a waste and over-reaction! They did not send us the photos of my dad, taken during his year there, that we requested. No condolence note after dad's death, not even an automated 'sorry for your loss' message. It was emotional, and I appreciate this happened during the COVID outbreak, but having had time to reflect, I believe that the above issues remain a point of concern and an observation that will affect me for the rest of my life.
