After a lot of looking for the "right" person I engaged with Jason French of Business Doctors to help me create a strategy for my Cosmetic Tattoo business. Although I am located in Australia and Jason is in the UK, I felt he truly took the time necessary to research the business I am in and understand how it works. Together we made a plan to deliver a series of online planning sessions taking into account time zones and my work schedule, in this regard I cannot thank Jason enough, he made himself available whenever it was convenient for myself despite the time difference, this was a true indication to me of how dedicated Jason was to helping me get my business where I wanted it to go. The sessions took me through understanding my key motivations and values and setting an ambitious development goal, I can truly say that Jason totally changed my thought process and my views on the future possibilities for my businesss and completely re-motivated me. We looked at the opportunities and the challenges in the local marketplace (again cudo's to Jason on researching the marketplace for my industry in another country), and in doing so, re-defined my key target customers and the areas in which I truly wanted to operate, again, this process with Jason completely changed my thought process and made me realise how much I was underestimating the value of the services I offered. This gave me the confidence to begin charging properly and at an appropriate level and gave me the framework and targeting I needed to find and educate a strong referral partner network - until Jason made me aware of the need for strategic partnerships, this concept had been completely overlooked by myself, and thanks to Jason's advice and encouragement on this topic, these partnerships have become invaluable to my business. These factors along with some coaching on time management and prioritisation allowed me to build upon the areas of my business which generate the most reward for me (both financial and non-financial). As a result of this strategic planning, I am commanding pricing 35% higher than I had ever charged before and having no resistance to the new price structure of any kind. I have many many more on profile target clients and for the first time I have a waiting list of clients wanting to utilise my services. Following Jason's advice, I am taking payment of a deposit up front and have spent 0 hours chasing payments. In doing so I have had 80% fewer cancellations and no longer have "no-show clients which unfortunately is common within the industry. I am truly grateful to Jason, not only for coaching me on procedures and strategies to put in place to make the running of my business more effective, but with his support and guidance I have grown my business and am very excited about new possibilities and directions for my business in the future - I am truly impressed with Jason's dedication in researching my industry, his willingness to accommodate the time differences due to being in different countries, his listening to my ideas and wishes and then taking those and working them into his process and lastly the capability he had of getting me really excited about my business again - I very much look forward to working with Jason again in the future when I have reached the goals we have set this far.
