Marvelous cottage! I stayed in the cottage for a week with my family in August 2019. The cottage has everything you need and although it is deep in the countryside it is only a short journey away from the picturesque town of Rothbury where you can find banks, shops and restaurants. The owners who are lovely local farmers are very helpful. Although the cottage is lovely there was so much to see and do in the area so we didn't spent much time in it apart from sleeping and eating breakfast and the children watching the highland cows. Two tips: 1. fridge is quite small so take this into account and 2. follow the directions the owners give you rather than rely on your Satnav as it may send you through impassable tracks.
