Winshields Farm Campsite

I recently stayed at Winshields campsite and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the facilities. The gender split-washing facilities were a nice touch, and the showers were very good. There was also plenty of food and drink available, which was a welcome convenience. The owner went out of his way to help us and even brought us some cold milk when the fridge broke down. The open field was a nice spot to pitch a tent, and there's a pub just down the road for those looking for a drink or a bite to eat. The historic building on site is also worth checking out. While the campsite is located next to a main road, most of the spaces are not near the road, so noise shouldn't be an issue for most guests. Overall, I had a great experience at Winshields campsite and would definitely recommend it to others.

What a wonderful and warm welcome we received. Only stopped 1 night as we were walking Hadrian's Wall. The camp site is not far from the wall. Nice hot showers, wash facilities and toilets available. Use of fully fitted kitchen with dining area. If you're walking the wall, this place is a must and only a stones throw from the Twice Brewed pub
