My Grandchild has been part of the Henley Detachment for 3 years. The skills acquired will be with them for the rest of their lives along with the friendships made. The adventures, fun, learning and working as and being part of a team are invaluable. Henley Detachment is run by amazing staff and volunteers who work endlessly to ensure teenagers succeed whatever their abilities may be. Highly recommend!

My son has attended cadets for nearly 3 years now and I cannot recommend this place enough! He has made many friends and achieved so much whilst attending, including his silver dofe, a Guinness world record, first aid skills and more importantly his confidence. He has learnt so many life skills and experienced so much at such a young age. He definitely wouldnt be the teenager he is today without attending. Give it a try! The only regret you will have is not trying it out sooner!

My daughter attends this detachment weekly. They have taught her valuable life skills in leadership, first aid, helping the community, etc.; but also helped through courses that will help further her education and career (earning a BTEC and Silver DofE through the ACF). The friends she has made through ACF, and the leaders of the detachment and company, also supported her through some fairly life changing events through the last few years. She would not be the same caring and confident teen without their help. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an activity for their teenager that will change their life for the better!
