Quality of work not quite there... Nigel is a friendly chap and a good salesman/business owner who convinced/sold me on his attention to detail. Adam was a fantastic installer who was doing a good job on my windows last year. Unfortunately half way through the job he left to start his own business. When he spoke about going independent, Nigel fired him so quickly he couldn't complete my job. Nigel then sent Jack to complete the job. Jack is also very friendly, but fitted one of my windows over-weighted so it goes up half way by itself, does not go down fully because the ropes are too short, and also wrongly balanced so that it tilts to the side and rubs against the frame. To his credit, Jack can fit three small windows in under two hours. Fine if that's what you want. I'm more fussed about the quality. I wouldn't let this company back in my property unfortunately. I procrastinated on writing this review for a while and put up with my window for a year because I truly hate the idea of writing a bad review and have lots of other renovations to do, but this company really deserves one! The team did a super job installing double glazing into our existing sash windows and replacing damaged wood. The team were polite, extremely hard working and tidy in their work. Really pleased with the end result: the work was carried out sympathetically retaining the Victorian character of the windows, which we were keen to do. Will definitely use Sash Window Rescue again. Nigel and the team were friendly, professional and thorough. I was considering replacing my windows at great expense but Nigel and the team repaired them to a fantastic standard. Highly recommend to anyone in a similar position.
