Ive been in 3 times in the last 4 months, I dont live locally. Each time you order meat and fish, you come to pay and their card machine isnt working. Coincidence? Theres a cash machine over the road, I really cant be bothered. Sorry

While visiting Henley we had the pleasure of visiting this high quality shop: great cheeses from UK and Europe, meat, fresh fish, charcuterie and even great bread in a relatively small space. During our visit we first bought a selection of cheeses and the house pork sausages; the next visit a trimmed 1" thick sirloin steak (cut to our requirements); next a fresh 1 kilo Dover sole; and finally a thick slice of halibut. 4 great meals because of top quality products sold by knowledgeable, affable staff: a joy which we would repeat regularly if we didn't live over 600 miles away

I drive from Maidenhead to Henley because the meat at Gabriel Machin is so excellent.

Best butcher by far, meat and fish superb, especially the smoked salmon and smoked bacon. Service very professional and friendly. Would highly recommend. Michael and Sam
