I've been many times to Woods Mill and it's one of my favourite places over the past 4 or 5 years. This was the first time with my girlfriend and her dog. Unfortunately when we got all ready to walk round we suddenly saw the sign for no dogs. Sadly we had to leave and find somewhere more dog friendly. Such a shame but we will be returning on Monday evening for the new members evening welcome. (Dog excluded).

Woods Mill is a lovely reserve in sussex. It's small enough to walk around in about an hour but you'll want to stay much longer! It has a wide variety of birds and wildlife all year round. The bird feeders are out until April so plenty of opportunity to spot a whole host of seasonal birds. It has reed beds and a large pond and stream running through it. The little woodland walk is beautiful with and a haven for wildflowers. There are picnic tables and benches dotted around and toilets and ample parking. The reserve never closes . No dogs allowed. Appeals to the novice and experienced birder and family friendly. Not all parts are accessible to wheelchair users as the meadows and fields can be boggy in places. I would highly recommend woods mill to all and sussex wildlife trusts management is excellent!
