Coopers Way Car Park

A handy car park when visiting the local shops. It cost us 2.10 for up to 4 hours

Handy spot behind Budgens in the middle of the village. Oddly opposite another car park on the other side of the road. Parking fees a bit steep which is a shame

Handy little carpark but downside is at top of a hill. Have to walk down to shops. Not great for disabled

This car park is perfectly acceptable, decent sized spaces, everything is marked out and the surface is fine... however its now charging for any time period. This hasnt improved anything, the spaces are the same, the tarmac surface hasnt been changed, and when your car gets pranged you still probably wont get notified with insurance details or an apology . Ive once seen a parking attendant, and he was only checking the machine as the umpteenth person complained it doesnt accept cash, and cards seem to be intermittent at best... there is an app, however this only adds to the time you have to be there, and if its only a quick nip into Budgens, its inevitably longer than your visit into town. HDC why dont you make it free for 1/2 hour, or 1 hour and then charge? Seems there is no benefit to most users and just means its harder to get out of the car park when you leave as quite a few people now just park on the high-street, shortening drivers visibility.
