    We had an amazing Hen party with a tent from House of Hud. The whole process was effortless from the start of booking to the tent arriving and realising that it was even better in person! Katherine was so kind and adaptable with throughout the process and helped our party out loads! The tent was fantastic- it was ideal as we had rainy weather and could just ignore the outside world and have so much fun on the dance floor and we all played DJ! Its a weekend we will never forget. I have already recommended their services to so many friends and just wish I could have kept the tent forever!

    There is no denying this is a lovely place but the service was awful,worse than awful,it was disgusting,so awful it actually ruined my Birthday. After booking a year in advance for exclusive use of all accomodation for my 50th birthday Katherine informed me the week before that one area had be let to someone else!!! That it was no longer included in my booking.I had an invoice in black and white that it was included and I had guests travelling from all over for my big day some flying in and we needed all the accomodation.Imagine the stress this caused the week before! I asked her politely to let the other booking know she had made a mistake .I had the invoice in black and white that this accomadation had been booked by me,she refused to do anything and a week before simply asked if I wanted my money back,no apology no importance given to trying to resolve HER mistake.She was willing to lose my whole booking like it was nothing.To this day I've never received an apology or any acknowledgement. I was so distressed my friends all advised me to cancel but why should I?! It finally got sorted without apology and then she did the same thing a few days before my booking!! I had friends travelling for my big day and not enough accomdation,not only that,strangers staying in an area i had booked exclusive us of!I was so stressed and very upset and she took away all the excitement I had for my birthday at this beautiful venue. Friends all told me to cancel. I never received an apology of any kind,or an acknowledgement of her mistakes when I had my booking in black and white! I had guests travelling from France etc it was a big deal I went from being so excited to have this beautiful place to be being so anxious about the whole thing as I didn't know what Katherine could do next. Katherine made me feel a pain for asking any questions and I was not made to feel welcome at all! As I was local I asked to view the property ..of course I fell in love with it. The booking was for a year later and as it was a big birthday i asked if I could view again just to remind myself to see who could sleep where etc as I booked it exclusively. Katherine told me people that get married there don't even look at it twice! I was made to feel a pain. I stuck with it as I loved the place so much but actually wish I had cancelled as the evening was just too stressful. On arrival I could not get the sound system outside to work and the management had no idea how it worked and he could not contact Katherine,I had guests arriving and no music.I didn't have a back up because of all of her rules in place Its a beautiful place but there are alot of do's and dont's so things are not as great as they first seem. In the morning non of my 15 guests had hot water! Again the management had no idea how it worked or how to fix the issue ..shocking! 15 guests and no one could have a shower. I was actually relieved it was all over.The way I was treated and the lack of management meant I did not enjoy my birthday at all. What started as a dream ended up being a painful memory. I'm not the only one who has had these booking problems or who have found Katherine difficult to deal with so be pre warned. Katherine is unable to apologise for her mistakes or make them right. On telling her about the lack of water and the music issues i simply had my deposit returned.No apology no explanation,no acknowledgement! Absolutely shocked at such bad customer service from what looks like a successful company

    I would highly recommend House of Hud as event decorators. This based on my experience of engaging them twice. The first time was in 2015 for the wedding of our elder daughter and the more recently in Sept 2022 for our younger daughter's wedding. We selected a different marquee theme (Bombay Boudoir and then Arabian Nights) each time. They were simply beautifully setup were amazingly sturdy, stood up and stayed absolutely dry and drip free through torrential rain. Every guest of ours remarked on the amazing the decor inside, the Moroccan lamps, the seating plan the furnishings etc. They really put great thought into organising. It is a highly professional team, work very well whether installing or dismantling. Professional lighting and wiring inside the marquee. They can customise the marquee based on people attending and shape of the place where the marquee will be put up. Our guests were totally wowed. More importantly when we needed to get in touch for something minor, they were immediately available. Finally, the biggest test was, are they value for money and reasonable in pricing - Definitely YES! If I needed it again it will be definitely House of Hud.
