Gastro Catering Sussex and Surrey

Gastro provided the catering (both food and drinks) over our wedding weekend in August. The Gastro team were absolutely incredible from start to finish - Alice's communication and attention to detail were fantastic, and her expertise and calm nature very reassuring to a control freak bride like myself! The tasting with our parents was a highlight of our wedding planning experience and we felt so looked after. On the day, the food was just as delicious as the tasting, service impeccable - despite delays caused by our speeches etc - and the presentation gorgeous. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and they made it all look so effortless. All our guests have commented on how amazing the food was and a couple have asked for Gastro's details for their own weddings. I did a lot of research before choosing Gastro, and so glad we did. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and hope to work with Gastro again for future events. Thank you!

Gastro were our caterer at our wedding and we could not recommend them highly enough. We wanted a local caterer who use local produce and were able to tailor the menu to us as a couple and we were not disappointed. It was a joy to work with Jess throughout the planning process. She was always available to answer any queries, no matter how small, and made the planning so much fun. On the day itself, our event manager Alice was amazing. She always made sure that we had everything we needed and the day could not have gone more smoothly. We received so many comments on the food, drink, and styling of our wedding and it was the best meal (and day) of our lives. A huge part of that is down to the team at Gastro and we cannot thank you enough. The best caterer ever! x

The food was even more delicious than we remembered it from the tasting, and all the Gastro Catering team including Jess (throughout the planning process) and Sophie and the team throughout the day were caring and amazing - from the presentation of the cheese stack (both as the stack and on the board), to the trio of desserts (which we absolutely adored, and also lots of conversation from the guests about which one was their favourite). We had lots of positive comments in general from the guests, and are thankful for all Gastro's efforts in running the day smoothly. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is considering holding an event within an area they cater for!

Gastro was an excellent supplier to work with for our wedding (in September 2022) from start to finish. We had always had a vision of reflecting our various heritages (Italian, Iranian, and English) throughout our wedding day, and especially in the food. Gastro took our ideas for the menu and elevated them into brilliant dishes. Going to taste the menu that we had designed in Gastro's showroom was one of the highlights of the wedding planning process. Jessica, our main point of contact and owner of the business, was incredibly helpful throughout the process, answering our many questions, pointing out areas we hadn't thought of, and allowing us to make adaptations up to days before the wedding itself. Gastro provided excellent furniture and we chose our tableware from a very wide range to perfectly match our colours and styling. Gastro worked so well with our other suppliers that on the day, everything was seamless with nothing for us to worry about. Gastro accommodated us ordering our own wine and evening food, and were very happy to receive these deliveries and take them to the venue and serve them on the day. The staff on the day, led by Alice, were so professional and hard-working giving us a fantastic reception with delicious food, with drinks being served throughout the night from a bar set up inside our venue. We could always trust the team to make our day exactly as we wanted it. We also really appreciated Gastro's commitment to sourcing local and seasonal produce. We cannot over state how brilliant Gastro were and how much they made our wedding day what it was. Many thanks to Jessica, Alice, the cooks, and the whole team.
