Rubbish pub filthy disgusting Scruffy can smell toilets when you walk in worser then George, staff very clever with attitude I won't take my custom their again, was new to pub as just moved to Hemsworth so thought I'd give it a try!!! Already heared bad things about it but I thought I'd give it a try, (wish I would have listened) anyways I tried it first time in going in boom someone started mouthing off at me, I did nothing I just sat their and them behind bar did nothing just shouted " Oi pack it in or your both out and barred" Didn't even come. Over asking what had happened, trouble coursing pub if you're face don't fit you're not welcome honest opinion! It's a dump I won't take custom their again

Just had my mother in law's 80th birthday party here and what a great night, everyone enjoyed themselves and commented on how nice the dcor is in the function room. Made to look even better with the party decorations and balloons etc. The bar staff were friendly and engaged with all the guests. I was particularly over the moon with how patient and understanding the staff were with my daughter who has disabilities. It's hard to find venue's with the patience of the staff at the Alpha. Thank you so much
