Normington and Sons

We had dads funeral yesterday at the Havercroft chapel of rest. Neil and his colleagues were wonderful, from the first call to them in the middle of the night to a lovely, warm, family funeral. I would have no hesitation in using them again for our family funerals - they made it all so easy for us.

An exceptional family company providing top class service. We cannot thank or recommend them enough. Following my fathers sudden and unexpected death James came immediately and was fully understanding of the families state of shock. He handled all affairs in an extremely caring and compassionate manner. From that moment on Dad was treated with the utmost respect and dignity which gave us great comfort. Similarly, Ingrid guided me through each stage of the process, offering sound advice regarding the choices and decisions that had to be made. I had the option of letting Normingtons organise every detail of the funeral or using their experience and local knowledge to arrange some aspects ourselves. I chose the latter and I am very grateful for their help. (No hard sell with this company unlike others that I have heard of). My mother had been seriously ill in hospital for 6 weeks prior to her husbands funeral. She came home that morning and was extremely frail and emotional. Philip was absolutely marvellous with her and could not have been kinder or more supportive. Ingrid arranged for Rachel Marsden to be our celebrant (she is also a trained Minister). She beautifully delivered a heartfelt service that everyone agreed was perfect. My fathers sister also died unexpectedly a week before his funeral. She was brought down from North Yorkshire to rest alongside him. The way that Ingrid, Philip and James spoke about caring for them and looking after them together was reassuring and heartwarming.
