Been coming to XC to climb for more than 10 years. I like the centre, the staff are friendly, the setting is pretty good. You have usually at least 4 auto-belays and 20 ish bottom ropes, with lead available of 20-30 lines with grades from 5s and to 7c. Bouldering pretty good, again 2 areas, but good variety.

After travelling 45 minutes to get to what looked like a good climbing gym we soon realised that we should have read the reviews. After signing around 3 waivers we were told that the person belaying would need to know how to tie knots ( a different style of belaying than they were taught at another gym ) so let the staff know they didnt know how to tie the knots. But no, you arent allowed to climb the same day your belayer learns to tie the knots. You need to book a session in and then wait a whole day before you can belay. Ridiculous. To top this off, when we decided we would just boulder instead we were told that the supervisor needed to know how to tie a figure 8 knot. To boulder?!?!!!! Being someone who even works at a bouldering gym and has been to so many before this was absolutely ridiculous and outrageous. Especially when you travel a long distance to get there. Thoroughly disappointed in this policy and their restrictions in bouldering, we didnt even get a chance to climb.
