Very good place to eat. Had Sunday roast, veggie option available. Lovely atmosphere. Good price. Dog friendly in bar.

Terrible food. Sent back the main course twice as meat wasn't cooked as asked. Desserts didn't taste of much and side were not seasoned at all! Food is not as remember, it was a very disappointing visit made worse as it was a special occasion. Would not go back again!

On arrival, a few minutes later than our reserved time, we were met by a very friendly member of staff who directed us to our table. After a brief period of time, enough for us to settle and get comfortable, our waiter for the afternoon, Max, arrived. He introduced himself with a very pleasant manner, friendly but not too over the top and so the experience continued. He was helpful, attentive enough to ensure we felt comfortable but not overbearing through to the end of our meal. Altogether an excellent experience. We shall happily return and recommend The Rose & Crown to our friends.
