Dreadful communication, very difficult to speak to the person you need to. I was promised a call back but never received one. I sent an email and copied in the Managing Director and the C.E.O. and still no reply, therein lies the problem because if the most senior personnel in the business can't respond via one of their team then clearly customers are not important to this business. There is a saying that a " fish rots from the head down "...... self explanatory I think. When does a business lose sight of the most important aspect of its existence, the customer? It's a curious thing when that happens, it's a slow creep of death that happens to so many enterprises and seems obvious to those on the outside looking in but those in a position to do something about it are paralysed by status, ego and there own sense of self importance. What a great pity!

DO NOT PURCHASE A CARAVAN FROM THIS COMPANY! They have increased our fees by more than 11.8%, a dreamt up inflationary figure that theyve plucked out of thin air. The site fees are deliberately complex to confuse the owners and their transparency is non existent. When I called Head Office to speak to the Customer Delations Manager, I cant name her on here, I was told that she doesnt have a phone number to be contacted on and was working from home! I have repeatedly tried to establish how they have inflated the already high level of inflation but no one wants to answer truthfully and honestly. There are dozens and dozens of customers sadly having to sell up due to the increased fees, which work out for a lot of people over 1500 per year with no warning of this extortionate increase. Corporate greed since Blackstone took over are ruining this long established business. I have emailed the CEO in New York and am yet to receive a response. The individual sites have thousands of customers challenging Haven about these increases. Look at the news articles, TV, and other groups on social media. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!

Not the best aftercare service! My recently widowed Mum treated myself and her 3 grandsons to a weekend away at Setons Sands. On arrival the caravan smelled very strongly of smoke and the double bedroom smelled of damp. I didn't want to make a big fuss as she had saved up for this trip and the last thing I wanted to do was put a dampner on the weekend so we opened all the windows to air it. Unfortunately the smell never left. On my return I contacted customer services but was told that it was my responsibility to have reported at the time and as I hadn't reported it at the time there was nothing they could do and anyway, Haven seemingly don't guarantee smoke free caravans! Wow, in this day and age, this is appalling. As it was end of season we were the last occupants so our claim could have been quickly checked. All we asked for was the 50 paid over and above the holiday price for the privilege of spending the weekend in a smelly caravan. This request was refused and I was advised to involve a third party if I wanted to take things further. This might not be as bad an experience as other reviews but a widowed pensioner saved for this weekend and has only asked for a very small amount back as compensation. Absolutely terrible customer service. Shame on such a large company as Haven. They're TV adverts are not selling the reality of the actual experience.
