SJD Accountancy

I used the services of SJD (now part of Optionis group) when I was contracting, this finished a few years ago. Last December I was notified that they had a cyber security breach some 10 months earlier and personal information they held on me was stolen!. I complained why I hadn't been informed sooner as per the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) requirements for GDPR breaches, they dismissed my issue. I complained to the ICO who upheld my complaint. In seeking compensation for SJD's lengthy delay in notifying me (during which time I was left vulnerable to potential misuse of my personal information) they have not had the courtesy to either acknowledge or reply. If you value a company who maintains a high level of creditability then I would suggest look elsewhere.

Never return calls, I have been with them a month and still have not spoke to an accountant Update, they never got better over time, I paid though nothing was ever done.

Terrible service, they constantly fail to meet the filing deadlines despite having plenty of time. They take days to respond to emails.

No follow ups , poor service. Avoid at all costs.

I used this company when I first started contracting, they did not factor in my student loan payments or advise me that this had to be paid separately, which landed me with a huge unexpected bill when I switched to PAYE. Their communication as per other reviews was awful- would strongly advise against using them.
