In a word, fantastic! I stayed just the one night, as planned, in Ryedale Cottage and it was a very comfortable and tastefully modernised cottage. The bed was comfy, the bathroom/shower room was spacious and the living area was well equipped for a longer stay. All very clean too and what a beautiful view outside the door. Thanks Dave and Helen, I'll be back.

Fantastic cottages set in the wonderful, rural setting of Sproxton. The views are amazing and the location is perfect. We stayed in Kirkdale, very comfortable, excellent facilities and it was home from home. Helen & Dave offer a warm and friendly welcome, a great start to our mini break. We made use of the gas bbq, the outdoor seating and our dogs loved the enclosed dog paddock, where everything had been thought of (dog shower if required). The bedrooms are small, but extremely comfortable and again have everything you need. Everything was clean, fresh and looked after. A well stocked kitchen, comfy living room and dining area. We were extremely fortunate to have great weather during our stay, we visited Dalby, which is great for families and dog friendly and only 30 mins away. Helmsley is 5 mins drive and has food essentials, pubs and take always, a very picturesque Yorkshire town with great character. Dog friendly, Sandy beaches are only a 40min drive and castle Howard is a must, a 15min drivethe beautiful gardens are accessible, dog friendly and have good facilities. We will definitely be returning, we loved this part of the UK and due to time restrictions could only visit and explore a very small amount of what is on offer. However, Sproxton Hall cottages, give you all you can ask for to make your stay that little bit more relaxing and provide a great base. Highly recommended
